I chose this childhood place because I had a lot of good times there when I was younger. When my best friend and I got to the park, we quickly ran to the playground area.
We would go to the swings and try to swing as high as we could, then jump off and see how far we landed. Then we would go to the monkey bars and see if we could reach the other side of the monkey bars. My friend could do it, but I couldn’t. I could get half way but as soon as I tried to go forward, I would fall down onto the sand under the monkey bars. After that we would go to the sandbox. I would make sand castles with my pail and shovel. I would go to the water fountain and fill up my bucket with water and pat the water with the sand castle.
Then we would go over to the slide. We would walk up the steps, cross the tall bridge and go down the long swirl slide. Then my friend and I would ask other kids in the playground if they would like to play tag. Then my friend, I and the kids who joined us would make some rules for the game and pick where the bases would be to. It was fun, we would play for hours, and I met a lot of new friends at the park. After the game was over, my friend and I would leave the playground, and go lay on the grass because we were tried from the long game of tag. Then we would look up at the clouds and say what each cloud look like as they were passing by. As I was lying there I would hear kids playing, people taking, and I could see some older kids playing base ball at the baseball field and thought that when I get older, I’ll play baseball there someday like those kids.
Then we heard our parent calling us and saying it’s time to leave. I would always say “Do we have to” and my mom would say “Yes, it’s time to go”. So I would take my things I bought to the park and carry them. As I left the park, I thought to myself it was a really fun day.
